Tackles & Takedowns, through wrestling, our program will give football players a head start on their upcoming season.  The athlete will gain tools they can use to improve their tackling by learning how to accomplish an effective wrestling takedown. The basic principals of a tackle and takedown share many of the same elements. They will learn good form with better body control by strengthening their legs, core, back arms and neck. Being more confident to create action, bending at the knees, dropping the butt, with a strong back, head up, coming into his opponent with his shoulder arms wrapping the legs and taking the opponent to their ground. This is just one example of the learned  skills shared in football and wrestling.
